Ghost In The Shell Online: First Connection, developed by Nexon's subsidiary company, Neople, is a cyberpunk-themed free-to-play first-person shooter game that is based off the highly
popular anime series of the same name (without the 'Online' part, of
course).
In this game, players will be able to control and customise their own gun-toting cyborgs, with various abilities, such as detecting enemies through walls, stealth and constructing turrets and awesome-looking robots (depending on different classes), to unlock. What's amazing is that characters in this game are able to share these special skills ("Skill share") with other nearby friendly players, drastically altering how you play the game.
Both PvE and PvP modes will also be provided, and from what can be seen, the combat system used in the game is leaning towards tactical and team-based. This is a game that is guaranteed to hit the eSports market soon after its release!
The game was previous ascertained that Ghost In The Shell Online will be released in Korea this year (2015). However, Nexon America has just recently confirmed that they will be releasing this MMOFPS game in the UK, US, Europe, Latin America and Australia later this year, after the Korean release.
