Thanks to Roystan Ross, you can now play Super Mario 64 in High Definition on your browser or on your desktop for free! The game was created using the popular Unity engine and can be played on Windows, Mac as well as Linux.

 

The game may differ slightly from the 1996 version - for instance, it does not contain red coins or Big Bob-Omb, but it's pretty much the same otherwise. The game also supports gamepads. 

For those Unity developers out there, both pros and amateurs, you can even get the source file for the game for free.
